At the end of the year, it’s always fun to look back at all the things that made news over the last 12 months. So we went through all the big stories on kmps.com this year and compiled a list of the most viewed, most-talked about, most shared on social media and of course, the most scandalous country stories of 2013. Here’s what we came up with:
Luke is cute and sweet! What a combo (sigh). He brought an adorable little six-year-old girl up on stage to help him sing “Someone Else Calling You Baby.” You just have to watch this video one more time.
It’s hard to have too many secrets when you’re a country star, which is probably why everyone was caught off guard earlier this year when Easton Corbin said he and his former wife had been divorce more than a year ago.
Brad Paisley had a major “blank out” moment this year when he forgot the lyrics to one of his own songs! Makes us all feel a little better about forgetting where we parked the car…
Miley’s VMA performance was certainly one of the most-talked about music stories of this year and country artists weighed in just like everyone else.
Lesson here: don’t pick a fight with someone while this tough chick is on stage trying to put on a concert!
Julianne stirred up some major controversy by wearing blackface as part of a Halloween costume this year. Even her brother Derek admitted the costume was a bad idea and Julianne later apologized.
Hillary stood up for new moms and didn’t cave to pressure to immediately shed her baby weight, saying she wanted to “embrace me for me.”
The tabloids went wild with rumors of the power couple’s impending divorce. One even reported that Tim might be getting “more than friendly” with Taylor Swift! Tim and Faith both denied the rumors and are proving the gossipers wrong- they’re still hitched.
Oh yes he did! Zac Brown called Luke’s song “That’s My Kind of Night,” “the worst song” he’d ever heard. Ouch!
Remember when someone on Twitter told Darius to “leave country to the white folk” after the release of his album True Believers? Most people agreed he handled the situation well and responded appropriately.
