Bailey Bryan has gone from playing music in front of her favorite taco stand in Sequim, WA, to rocking the stage at Watershed. And it’s only the beginning!
She’s only 18, but Bailey has been writing songs since she was 12 and knew even at a young age that her future would involve a career in country music.
Bailey met a future publisher and mentor when she was only 7, and not long after, she was making monthly trips to Nashville to hone her songwriting craft according to Red Light Management.
Bailey reflected, “I always jumped at the chance to sing and play my guitar in front of people, but when I started writing songs when I was 12, music became an even bigger part of my life. Being able to share my heart and experiences with other people through my music became my purpose and my passion”.
While she may have country roots, her musical influences include everyone from the Dixie Chicks to Drake to Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Bailey has even opened for artists including Macklemore and Sara Evans, winning over audiences of all types.
She told Sounds Like Nashville, “I could drive a few hours—and I did as I got older—and be in Seattle where there is this incredible underground hip-hop scene and alternative. So I’m a huge fan of Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Drake, Macklemore, all those different types of music ended up influencing me, especially as I’ve gotten older. So I hope to, as I continue to make music and release my first album in country, bring in all those different sounds to create something no one’s ever heard before.”
