Hopefully you got to hang with Dierks Bentley last night at the Washington State Fair. It was a rockin’ show! Dierks woke up this morning to some exciting news.
Dierks Bentley says “Different for Girls” was a risk for him musically, but it had a huge pay off for him. That song lands Dierks at the top of the country charts for the 15th time!
Here’s what Dierks Bentley told “Taste of Country” about the song..
“This is a song I couldn’t have sung eight years ago before my daughter Evie was born. I could’ve, but I would have just sang it from one stand point,” he explains. “It’s a song that’s not just for one thing, but opens it up for dialogue. It’s a crazy song and that’s why I put it out there. It’s a different song that makes people think a little bit and it says something that I don’t think has been said before.”
Dierks Bentley will be joined by Elle King to sing his number one song at the Opry October 4th! What a way to celebrate!
