Tim McGraw Posts Message To Honor Late Nashville Teacher

Tim McGraw recently shared a video of a Nashville teacher suffering from cancer being serenaded by 400-plus students.

The teacher is seen singing along to “Holy Spirit You are Welcome Here” with the students gathered outside his window.

Sadly that teacher, Ben Ellis, lost his battle with esophogeal cancer on Friday (September 16th) and Tim again turned to social media to pay his respects.

He wrote on Instagram, “Mr. Ben Ellis has passed away . . . The example of love and kindness that showed in his heart through his teaching has impacted so many of his students, and through them has and will continue to impact the world . . . time well spent Mr. Ellis, time well spent sir . . . rest now, for you shall be well received.”

According to CNN, Ellis taught Latin and Bible studies Christ Presbyterian Academy in Brentwood, TN.

He leaves behind his wife and five children.
