The newest inductees of the Music City Walk of Fame have just been announced, and it looks like this year’s chosen stars are keeping it in the family.
The Tennessean reports that husband and wife Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will be inducted side by side at a ceremony on October 5 in Nashville’s Walk of Fame Park.
“Faith Hill and Tim McGraw both came to Nashville in the 1980s with big dreams and huge talent,” Nashville Mayor Megan Barry said in a statement.
“Tim and Faith have made a big difference in our city, not only with their music but also with their generous contributions to many important causes.”
Hill has charted 14 No. 1 songs including “This Kiss” and “Breathe.” She has sold more than 30 million albums and is developing a new daytime lifestyle show based in Nashville.
McGraw has landed 41 No. 1 songs and sold more than 56 million albums. He’s also an accomplished actor who has appeared in movies including “Friday Night Lights” and “The Blind Side.”
McGraw’s next acting role is in “The Shack,” which will be in theaters in March.
