Gene Wilder, who was best known for his roles in movies like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Young Frankenstein and The Producers, has died. He was 83. Wilder’s nephew Jordan Walker-Pearlman revealed Monday that the star died this month in Stamford, Connecticut, from complications from Alzheimer’s disease. Wilder did not disclose his illness because he did not want to disappoint fans. “He simply couldn’t bear the idea of one less smile in the world,” Walker-Pearlman explained.

Taylor Swift is just like the rest of us and has to report for jury duty. T-Swift was part of the panel of prospective jurors in Nashville on a case with charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated rape and aggravated domestic assault; however, she was excused and dismissed from serving because of her pending sexual assault case against a Denver radio host who allegedly stuck his hand up her skirt and grabbed her butt after a 2013 concert. He is also countersuing her, claiming he lost his job over what he calls a false accusation. Swift went on to tell the judge that she would be “more than willing” to serve on a jury in any other type of case.

It’s all hands on deck for Everett police as they gear up for Donald Trump’s rally at Xfinity Arena today.The rally starts at 7pm but doors open at 4pm, and the Trump campaign reportedly handed out 13,000 tickets online, more tickets than there are seats. For safety reasons, all the roads surrounding the Xfinity Arena will be shut down, including a stretch of Broadway and starting this morning, no cars will be allowed to park along the streets surrounding the arena. Additional closures are expected to start midday.

The University of Wisconsin at Madison is the top party school in the nation. According to the Princeton Review’s annual ranking, the Badgers beat out West Virginia University for the top spot, as well as last year’s winner, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The top party school was also at the top of the list for “Best Health Services,” and “Lots of Beer” categories. UW-Madison is famous for its festivities, particularly during Halloween and its annual end-of-year block party.
