Craig Campbell just wrapped up his first-ever USO tour as part of the Grand Ole Opry/USO 75th Anniversary Concert Series.
Having visited nearly 2,000 service members and military families stationed on both the East and West Coast, the Georgia native performed a USO concert hosted by Patrick Air Force Base in Florida on August 7th, then turned around and made a USO visit to Joint Base Lewis-McChord on August 9.
Campbell did have some issues coming to WA though during the worldwide Delta delays this week.
An estimated 750 flights were cancelled and a flight tracking service counted 2000 delays after a system wide power-outage.
After spending all day at airports in Orlando and then Atlanta,Campbell and his band finally arrived in Seattle as they get ready to perform for the U.S.O at Joint Base-Lewis McChord.
“There were several options from Atlanta to here so we were going to get here in the middle of the night, but we were going to get here,” said Campbell.
But after all the delays and changes…he and his band were also missing bags and guitars according to Q13.
