I think it’s pretty fair to say that Carrie Underwood is as well known for her fabulous shape and muscular, shiny legs as she is for her amazing voice.
But Carrie says, believe it or not, her weight once got her bullied.
The singer made the surprising statement in a new interview with Extra, telling the celebrity news show that when she first started becoming famous, she had a few rude comments made about her body.
“It was definitely an introduction into being in the public eye, but it was also… a catalyst for me to say, ‘Okay, I’m not making some healthy choices and maybe I can do more of that, not for those people but for me.’”
She added, “Once I made a couple of decisions that started me going in the right direction, everything kind of fell into place… It was a negative thing that turned into something very positive.”
And now she’s building a fitness empire with her Calia by Carrie Underwood line of fitness clothes and swimwear.
Take that body shamers.
