Craig Morgan‘s teenage son who died in a tubing accident will be laid to rest this weekend in Nashville.
Nineteen-year-old Jerry Greer drowned after a water-tubing accident at a lake in Tennessee last weekend. His funeral is planned for Saturday morning at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Nashville.
A visitation will be held the evening before, and investigation into the accident is still ongoing. Officials still aren’t sure as to why his life-jacket failed to float.
Morgan is calling off his upcoming tour dates to mourn the tragic death of his son.
The country singer’s official website says the remaining July shows have been cancelled while the family grieves.
A total of nine dates are affected, including stops in South Dakota, Minnesota and Utah. The website did not give information about ticket refunds or rescheduling.
Friends and family have set up a established The Jerry Greer Memorial Scholarship to honor the teen’s memory.
