Dylan Scott just announced his single “My Girl”, and now we know who the song is about…his new WIFE!
On Saturday (May 28), the country singer married Blair Anderson in Bastrop, Louisiana according to Taste Of Country.
Dylan also credits his lovely new bride as the inspiration for “My Girl.” In a six-part video series posted last week on Facebook leading up to the single release, Scott details the making of the song and his new album.
“This has been 10 years in the making,” he says. “A lot of hard work, a lot of tears, a lot of smiles, a lot of growing up. I finally feel like I’ve reached the point where I can share the story. A story that goes all the way back to sophomore year of high school. Just got my first truck, just started writing songs. I was 15. She was 16.”
He went on to share that “My Girl” came to be when he decided to write of all the things he gets to see in his girl that others don’t always see: the way she looks at him, how she smiles when she’s holding a baby and images of her as she’s praying on her knees before she goes to bed.
“This is a really special song for me, it’s all true,” he shares. “All the lyrics mean something, all the little things that I see that nobody else gets to see. Hopefully this resonates with a lot of people out there that think the same way.”
Can you say AWWWWWWW! So sweet! Have a listen to the song below & congrats to Dylan & Blair!
