Not only is Dustin Lynch a country singer who has three number ones in a row under his belt, it turns out he’s also a pretty good designer.
The country hit-maker just launched his clothing line, Stay Country, and he finally got it off the ground thanks to a simple hat.
In a recent interview, Lynch said “Stay Country clothing is something I’ve been working on since like 2010, just waiting on the right opportunity to push it. We just did, for fun, we did a run of hats — a simple Stay Country hat — and sold as many hats in one weekend than any artist had sold in a year. We couldn’t keep it in stock. So it’s time, we’re off to the races.”
Former Fashion Police host Kelly Osbourne even sported a camouflage Stay Country hat on Instagram not long ago that Dustin gave her at the Stagecoach Festival.
Dustin went on to explain the reason behind the line’s name saying, “Stay Country is a statement that I live by, I believe in. It’s about staying true to your roots, you know, especially in my lifestyle. It takes me all over the place but I always come back to my house, my home, and where I’m from and how I was brought up. It’s just about believing in who you are and staying true to yourself.”
The collection is made up of T-shirts, Henleys, baseball jerseys, hats, and koozies featuring vintage-inspired prints of rifles, tractors and an outline of the U.S. that Lynch has either designed himself or selected especially for the line.
