The two-part finale of The Voice was packed full of so many great things, so let’s try to sum up some of the best moments! Here we go…
On last night’s Season 10 finale of The Voice, ‘Curly Sue’ actress and Team Christina member Alisan Porter was named the champion.
Her victory gives her coach, Christina Aguilera, her first win on the singing competition.
Meanwhile, Team Blake’s Adam Wakefield was named runner-up, Team Pharrell’s Hannah Huston came in third and Team Adam’s Laith Al-Saadi landed in fourth.
Before being announced the winner, Alisan Porter, was joined by Jennifer Nettles to sing an incredible duet of Nettles’ song “Unlove You”. They both have very unique voices so they complimented each other perfectly.
Blake Shelton left the coach’s chair on Tuesday’s live finale to perform his bitter breakup track off his new If I’m Honest album, “She’s Got a Way With Words.” (Video Above)
The cameras also went backstage to follow Blake backstage as he mingled with Pharrell, Adam, Pink, and some of the contestants. Blake also might have admitted to a small gambling problem…but he looks GREAT in lipstick! HAHA!
Country quartet Little Big Town also performed during Part Two of the season finale on Tuesday night (May 24), taking the stage to perform “One of Those Days,” a new track from their forthcoming album.
There’s a reason why Adam Wakefield became a favorite during his run this season on The Voice. The up-and-coming country star teamed up with coach Blake Shelton during Part One of the Season 10 finale Monday night (May 23) for a spirited cover of the Hank Williams Jr. and Waylon Jennings‘ classic duet “The Conversation.”
Wakefield also dropped a sensational cover of Vince Gill’s classic, “When I Call Your Name”.
Wakefield was the last man standing from Blake Shelton‘s team competing for the Season 10 crown, and it was his performance of the 1990 hit song that really brought the house down.
The judges were equally impressed.
“Your runs are so impressive to me, they are so accurate and insane,” Christina Aguilera told Wakefield. “I love what you do up there. You are so talented.”
Wakefield’s own coach, Blake Shelton, didn’t hold back with his own enthusiasm afterward saying “You just blew the roof off with this performance!”
We have a feeling this won’t be the last you will see of Adam Wakefield in country music!
