Lyrics to a new Blake Shelton song called “She’s Got a Way With Words” will leave fans talking because the singer isn’t holding anything back on his new album If I’m Honest.
The track on the album is about a bad breakup, and Shelton may not have written it, but the song paints a pretty heavy picture for fans that might answer some questions about his divorce.
Entertainment Tonight shared part of the song that appears as track No. 2 on Shelton’s ninth full-length studio album:
“She put the her in hurt / She put the why in try / She put the S.O.B. in sober / She put the hang in hangover / She put the ex in sex / She put the low in blow / She put a big F.U. in my future / Yeah she’s got a way / She’s got a way with words.”
Other breakup songs on the album include “Bet You Still Think About Me” and “Every Time I Hear That Song”, and both are more of a bittersweet sentiment to his past relationship.
Shelton sticks with his classic country roots on fun tracks like “Straight Outta Cold Beer,” “Doing It to Country Songs,” and “Green”. Have a listen to a couple of the songs below!
