Connie Britton went on The Late Late Show with Seth Meyers show to talk about Red Nose Day, but the conversation of course went to the bittersweet ending of “Nashville”. Connie has us all grabbing our tissues when she talks of how much she will miss the town and all of the people.
When Meyers asked if Britton was sad about the cancellation of the tv series, she said she is.
“I am. It’s bittersweet, you know. Look, I always feel like to have four years on anything, you can never take that for granted and you know it’s been a really great run. But, it’s nice to feel like, ‘Okay, we kind of ended it and now we’re gonna move on and hopefully I’ll be able to do something else fun and great.”
While her LA friends are excited to have her back, leaving her Nashville family will be tough.
“I talk to my Nashville friends and they’re all like, devastated. And it’s a really a bummer for the town too. I’m going to miss those people so much.”
While there are reports that the show might be picked up by another network, Britton does not comment on the reports.
Meyers did add that the Nashville/country community is ‘warm and welcoming.’
We couldn’t agree more!
