Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick (AKA: Anna and Garfunkel) promoted their upcoming animated movie Trolls at the Cannes Film Festival yesterday with a stunning acoustic performance of Cyndi Lauper’s hit “True Colors.”
Justin Timberlake just released “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” his new original song from DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming movie Trolls, but “True Colors” will be another track from the film.
Timberlake is also working on his fifth solo studio album that will include influences from his Southern roots according to Radio.com.
“Growing up in Tennessee, very central of the country, Memphis is known as being the birthplace of rock and roll, but also the home of the blues, but Nashville’s right down the street so there’s a lot of country music.”
Trolls doesn’t hit theaters until November 4th , but Kendrick and Timberlake star as Poppy and Branch, two trolls who are forced to leave their home behind to rescue their village from a mysterious menace. James Corden, Gwen Stefani, John Cleese, Ron Funches, Zooey Deschanel, Kunal Nayyar, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Icona Pop, and Russell Brand also lent their voices to the film.
