Bad news for Sonics fans…last night Seattle’s City Council voted not to vacate the small section of Occidental Avenue South in Sodo where Chris Hansen was hoping to use to eventually build an arena that could house an NBA and NHL team. Last night in a 5 to 4 vote the council shut down what would have been the last step before the City could issue a Master Use Permit for the project.

More bad news for guys…. Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton revealed at the Met Gala last night that she is engaged to Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander. He asked her right before the season started, so they’ve been keeping it on the down low for quite a while. They’ve been dating on and off for three years, and are no in rush to tie the knot.

Beyonce ditched both her husband Jay Z and her wedding ring on the red carpet. She paired a long-sleeved, flesh-toned latex Givenchy gown with straight hair. (Many fans speculated on Twitter that the dress was made of Becky’s skin-the girl Bey made hints about had an affair with Jay-Z on her new album ‘Lemonade’)

It’s not a rumor anymore: “Space Jam 2” with Lebron James is happening. There’s no word when it’ll hit theaters, but it’s going to be directed by Justin Lin, who did three of the “Fast and Furious” movies and the upcoming “Star Trek Beyond”. LeBron made his movie debut in “Trainwreck” last year, playing himself. He’s also played himself on episodes of “Entourage”, “SpongeBob SquarePants”, and “Teen Titans Go!”

Even though bridesmaids spend hours getting hair and make-up done, and groomsmen get ready in 20 minutes, according to a new survey, it actually costs MORE to be a groomsman than a bridesmaid. The average bridesmaid spends $642 on the bachelorette party and their dress. But groomsmen spend $926 on the bachelor party and their suit. So, $284 more than women. Plus 31% of groomsmen also spend at least $200 on a wedding gift, compared to just 20% of bridesmaids.
