Yesterday kicked off the NFL draft and the Seahawks went with an offensive tackle as their first pick. The Seahawks picked Texas A&M tackle Germain Ifedi with the No. 31 overall pick. It took a little longer to see the Seahawks make their pick because they traded their No. 26 pick to Denver for No. 31 and a third-rounder. The draft continues today and the Seahawks have 4 picks in rounds 2 and 3.
Quarterbacks Jared Goff (California) and Carson Wentz (North Dakota State) were the first and second overall picks in the NFL draft last night, selected by the Los Angeles Rams and the Philadelphia Eagles. However, an anonymous hacker potentially cost one top prospect millions. Laremy Tunsil’s Twitter account was hacked and someone shared a video of him smoking weed through a gas mask attached to a bong. The clip resulted in the first 12 teams passing on the Ole Smith offensive tackle before he was taken by the Miami Dolphins with the 13th pick.
