You’ve been hearing me say ridiculous things on your radio every night for the last two years.
However, Wednesday, April 6 will be my last day with 94.1 KMPS.
Full disclosure, this is 100% my decision. A radio opportunity was presented to me that I couldn’t pass up, and after my last show tomorrow I’ll be picking and moving to another state (with my dog Marky Mark) to embark on yet another radio journey.
This isn’t an uncommon thing in the radio industry. Us DJ’s are moving around constantly changing day parts, formats, cities, and lifestyles. It’s a very trying way to live that I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy, but I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else. Radio has been everything to me since I started in this crazy career 14 years ago.
I’d like to thank CBS Radio and 94.1 KMPS for giving me a shot at broadcasting in one of the biggest and most beautiful cities in the United States. From Seahawks tailgates to 8 Man Jams to Shamrock Shows to indulging in some fantastic phở, there’s a lot to be missed about Seattle.
More than anything else I’d like to thank you. Thank you for letting a metro-sexual metal-head doggy-daddy enter your world of country music. No matter where my journey takes me, I’m confident I’ll never encounter a more passionate fan base and more passionate artists! As a fan of all things music, this has been a very humbling and eye-opening experience.
If you’d like to follow me on my radio journey, I’d love to have you come along for the ride!
Best wishes to Seth, Kat, Pat, Ziggy, Dakota, Kenny and the entire 94.1 KMPS family. There is some truly cool stuff coming up that I’m sad I won’t get to be a part of. This is a great time to be a fan of country music, and a fan of 94.1 KMPS! I’ll be watching from afar guys. Give ’em hell!
For now, it’s so long. As big of an industry as radio is, it’s also a very tight knit family. I’m sure we’ll be talking to each other again soon! Until then…
Thank you for letting me entertain you.
P.S. Stop hating on Sam Hunt. He’s the future.
