Amy Adams is more than just an actress and director, she’s also the daughter of a military officer which explains her support for the armed forces. The five-time Oscar nominee recently gave up her first class seat on a flight to a soldier.
According to Huffington Post, Adams spotted the U.S. soldier in the gate before her recent flight from Detroit to Los Angeles. After boarding the plane, the star secretly organized to give the man her first class seat in exchange for his in coach.
ESPN’s “Numbers Never Lie” host Jemele Hill was also on the plane, and took to Twitter to share what the actress had done. It didn’t take long for passengers in coach to start posting their selfies with the actress as well.
When asked about the reason for the seat change, Adams told Inside Edition “I didn’t do it for attention for myself. I did it for attention for the Troops.”
Just saw actress Amy Adams do something incredibly classy. She gave her 1st class seat to an American soldier. I’m an even bigger fan now.
