After announcing last month that his next album, High Noon, will hit stores March 25, singer Jerrod Niemann has now released a music video for the album’s lead single, “Drink to That All Night” (watch it below).
Written by Derek George, Lance Miller, and Brad and Brett Warren, “Drink to That All Night” is a punched-up party song that was first released last October and currently sits in the country Top 20. In the song, Niemann toys with AutoTune on his vocals as he shifts from laid-back lines about a big night out (“Pullin’ up now oh the parking lot’s full”) into an enthusiastic, EDM-ified chorus where he affirms that, sure enough, he’s “’bout to tie one” and get “gone gone gone.”
The video places the party within a stark, nearly black-and-white set that’s dressed with a pool table, women dancing with Hula Hoops, a black pickup and some strange, milky-white cocktails — one of which leaves Niemann seeing double. Both the song and video feel more like Pitbull than anything George Jones ever cut, but that’s obviously a deliberate move. As Niemann says at the start of the video, “I’m ready for something a little different.”
High Noon is the follow-up to Neimann’s 2012 album Free the Music.
