The government is shutdown and the local community is not forgetting about all those federal workers being furloughed. Two local zoos will be giving those workers something to do while the government works out its problems.
Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium and Northwest Trek Wildlife Park are offering free admission to federal employees according to The News Tribune. The offer applies to all federal workers, including active duty military, for the duration of the shutdown.
Immediate family members of those federal workers are also eligible for half-price admission.
