Keith Urban has an ongoing appreciation for the military, and the Navy SEALs in particular. This week, the country singer presented a check for $300,000 to the Navy SEAL Foundation (NSF) at his San Diego show.

Keith chose to share all of his publishing and artist royalties from the song “For You” which he wrote to honor the Navy SEALs in the line of duty according to Country Weekly.

The song also appeared during the credits of the film Act of Valor

While presenting the check, Keith Urban said “I have a deep appreciation for the special bond that all of these families feel towards each other and for the commitment that they have made to all of us. The NSF reminds us to acknowledge the importance and sacrifice that is made each and every day by those serving ‘down range’ as well as their loving families.”

According to the CEO of the Navy SEALs Foundation, the donation will be applied to programs for 120 SEALs and their families, as well as a summer camp for 500 Naval Special Warfare children.
