Brantley Gilbert started the year planning a wedding with Jana Kramer, but after a sudden split between the country singers, his year has taken a new twist. Gilbert will be using everything that happened in his next album.
“I sing about the things that I don’t have conversations about,” he told CMT. That’s about all the singer will say in reference to the called off engagement, but don’t expect the new music to be all about breaking up.
In talking about his new album, Brantley told CMT “The love songs are still on there. I didn’t change anything. And all my records are chapters of my life. They all tell stories. ‘I’m Gone’ is kind of a breakup song. But there were some goodbye situations in there and some hell-raisin’ situations. There was a lot to write about.”
The new album, ‘Just As I Am’, will be released in early 2014.
Ironically, Gilbert and Kramer will both perform at a concert event call Tropical Nights 2014 in February. Luckily the two will be busy performing on separate nights along with Dierks Bentley, Billy Currington.
