You would think being superstar Toby Keith means no one can tell you what to do. That’s not the case. The singer, actor, and businessman did not want to do the photo shoot and interview for Forbes Celebrity 100 issue, but his publicist made him. He spoke about the experience with The Oklahoman saying “First of all, it’s like pulling teeth to get me to do photo shoots. And I don’t mind doing interviews if they’re by phone, but I hate to go sit down and have to meet somebody somewhere.”
Forbes called him “country music’s $500 million man” which made him even more uncomfortable because the singer feels uncomfortable talking about his money and success. That’s when his publicist stepped in and said it was a huge honor to be able to discuss his restaurant chain, partial ownership of Big Machine Records and heading Show Dog-Universal, in addition to his songwriting and performance earnings.
