Taylor Swift was up for Record of the Year at the 55th GRAMMY Awards Sunday night, but she lost out to Gotye and Kimbra for their infectious hit “Somebody That I Used To Know.”
And Hunter Hayes had been nominated for Best New Artist, but that award wound up going to fun.
Overall, though, country music was very well represented at this year’s GRAMMYs, thanks in part to high-profile performances by Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and others. And, of course, several country artists did win in format categories–some for the very first time. The winners are listed below.
