Today, Chris Cagle is Back in the Saddle. That’s the name of his latest album, which hit stores today–and it’s an appropriate title, too, as it’s his first new release in four years (and for a new label, Bigger Picture).
Since it was release week, Chris was in full-on celebration mode Monday night (June 25), when he performed a special fans-only show at Joe’s Bar in downtown Chicago.
Kicking off the show with “Good To Be Back,” he burned rapid-fire through more than a dozen tracks, with the packed house eating it right up. His set included some of the many chart hits he’s racked up over the last decade, such as “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out,” “What Kinda Gone,” “Chicks Dig It,” and “Laredo.”
And, of course, he mixed in some fresh material, including his recent Top 20 radio single, “Got My Country On.”
His latest single is “Let There Be Cowgirls,” a song he wrote about his wife Kay (with whom he now has two daughters, Stella and Piper).
