[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Garth Brooks [/lastfm] is learning the hard way that no good deed goes unpunished. Garth is heading to court over a dispute with an Oklahoma hospital.

Garth made a $500,000 donation to Integris Canadian Valley Regional Hospital in 2005 after the hospital promised to name a building after his mother Colleen Brooks who died of cancer in 1999. Garth says that the hospital showed him mockups of a building with his mom’s name in neon lights and planned a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Three years after the donation, the hospital told Garth that the money would be used to fund other projects and that they believed the donation donation to be anonymous and unconditional.

Garth is seeking the full $500,000 donation.
