Ellen DeGeneres and Target surprised the students, staff, and families of James Sales Elementary in Tacoma with $100,000.

One hundred percent of the school’s students receive free or reduced lunch and many go without basic necessities like a bed.

The Johnson & Johnson Show of 94.1 KMPS spoke with Principal Kristen Schroeder about meeting Ellen, surviving breast cancer, and how the money will be spent.
